The modern history of international relations, political sciences, international organizations law, and diplomacy, take its pure source in far-off origins. For centuries, the political scene has truly modified the praxis of international affairs. Though, it was required the conceptualisation and implementation of flexible solutions fully adapted to the different obstacles national governments do not have the capacity to resolve.
While the modern world is searching its pace, we are truly convinced that the Caribbean Institute for Diplomatic & Strategic Studies (CIDSS) will provide a new light against those daily fears that haunt the entire humanity: energy paucity, economic terrorism, climate degradation, pandemics, rupture of the democratic dialogue…
Today and more than ever, CIDSS has a noble ambition: to be the first and « private » institution of its kind in Martinique and in the Caribbean region capable of proposing its citizens a short, precise and contemporary training according to the world evolution.
The purpose of C.I.D.S.S is, according to its statutes, to proceeding to studies, researches, and analyses in the field of international relations, politics, and diplomacy, following exact and concrete orientations. It facilitates and promotes the sharing of study with public and/or private organizations with similar objectives; develops and establishes, as far as possible, a strong relationship with French, Caribbean, European and foreign institutions with similar vocation. Financially, the institute depends on the generous contributions of its members.
